Hilda is a Licensed Clinical Social worker and currently a student in the Post Graduate Bioenergetics program at the Southern California Institute for Bioenergetics Analysis.She specializes in adults and in the treatment of depression, grief and loss; stress management, anxiety, and the emotional distress caused by life’s transitions. Being bilingual and culturally sensitive, she is also aware of the personal, relational, and spiritual needs of the individual.


With 14 years of experience, Hilda has a broad range of working experience including outpatient mental health clinics, inpatient and acute hospital care, skilled nursing and community hospices. Additionally, she has co-facilitated groups in bereavement and those needing end-of-life emotional support and is attuned to the issues related to death and dying.


Hilda’s approach is that of warmth, genuineness, and attentiveness to the person’s deep pain for inner healing to take place. She believes that providing a safe environment is important to beginning life’s mind and body journey. Working with each individual, Hilda nurtures their strengths and encourages personal growth, no matter how small the step is to get there.


Hilda received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Minor in Studio Art from the University of California Irvine. She received her Master’s degree from the University of Southern California in Social Work and completed her second year internship at the Neuropsychiatric Institute at UCLA during her Master’s program. While obtaining her Bachelor of Arts at UCI, she was also a histological and technical assistant at the Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory.


She has been acknowledged for her role in assistance in two publications from the following journals: The Journal of Neuroscience 1999 and The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences 1998. She enjoys expressing her creativity with painting and drawing.
